From Silt to Shine.
This 2005 C240 was aquired 07/07/2024 and was found in running condition in Gloucester, VA. The previous owner had passed away in 2019, and was sold with a bill of sale. The car needs an alternator, headlight, and a good scrub.
Aquired for $500, ran on trailer, had several lights on dash. Milage 177k
Parked to purchase cleaning supplies from dollar general $20. Mold and Mildew remover works wonders
Also cleaned the hornets nests from the door hindges
Heading to the car wash
Sprayed down with mold and mildew remover, used brush, and soap + rinse
Heading home looking good as new
The interior needs some help, shop vac and some shampoo. Also mold + mildew remover for door panels and trim.
Doing a full interior detail, and putting the Mercedes floor mats back inside the car. Next will be the headlight replacement.
left headlight has been replaced, but is not of equal clarity as the right, this will need to be addressed with the exterior wax and detail.
need to fix taped down trim piece (these always break)
